Flying Vortex

I have loved working on this quilt! It has quite a history... in 2011 Judy over at Patchworktimes.com decided to host a Monochromatic quilt challenge. In February the color violet was chosen... so I dug in to the purple stash. I wasn't sure I had *violet* but I was determined to see what I could find.

This is what I made.... with all the tons of strips that I cut up... but I had more!!
So I started in on a Purple Pineapple quilt - Pattern courtesy of Quiltville.com   And I am happy to say  - it is finished!!!!  Quilted and ready to bind!

Look - I am waving!!

And the back!

I am linking up to Confessions  and Crazy Mom  for Finished Friday! Enjoy!!

Fun and Funky Quilt

This is a quilt that I made with a layer cake. I just love it! It is very springy and happy looking.

After I made it I kind of struggled with what to quilt on it, I wasn't sure who exactly it was for. So I chose a feather and waves.

I really like how it turned out.

There are wonderful butterflies, and just enough Black and White to give it a great modern look.

This back!!  I just love it - it is hot pink with orange. Reminds me of Hawaii. Although I have never been to Hawaii....

And here is the full shot - it measures 54 x 62. I used Warm and Natural Batting in it.
Ad bound it in Lime Green
